Tuesday’s Matchday 4 action gave us plenty to talk about. Big away wins, a dramatic turnaround at Old Trafford and some painful lessons for the losing sides. Across nine matches on 3 November, there were 27 goals and just one draw. Nobody can complain about a quiet night.
PSG grab the attention
Villarreal 0–6 Paris Saint-Germain. Even before you get into the details, that score demands a second look.
Winning away in this competition is valuable enough. Winning by six gives everyone else something to think about. PSG followed their victory over Barcelona with another emphatic result, maintaining their perfect start. For Villarreal, the concern is how much damage one evening can do to confidence as well as goal difference.
There is still plenty of football ahead, but Paris have given themselves an excellent platform.

United leave it late
Manchester United supporters went through the full range of emotions against Roma. Two goals down, they needed a response. Bruno Fernandes started the recovery from the penalty spot before Matheus Cunha’s late double turned defeat into a 3–2 victory. Cunha then finished his eventful evening with a red card.
That is a result to enjoy, although the early problems should stay part of the conversation. Comebacks show character. They also leave a fair question: why was such a rescue needed?
For Roma, letting that lead disappear will hurt long after the journey home.
Bayern get the job done
Bayern Munich’s 2–0 victory at Atlético Madrid deserves attention alongside the bigger scorelines. Lennart Karl and Konrad Laimer supplied the second-half goals.
An away win and a clean sheet is an excellent return. Bayern can take real satisfaction from leaving Madrid with both.

Barcelona halt Villa’s run
Aston Villa arrived with three wins from three, but Barcelona ended that perfect start with a 3–0 victory. Lamine Yamal opened the scoring and Raphinha added two more.
Villa had earned their strong position. This result is a reminder of how demanding the next step can be. Barcelona, meanwhile, delivered exactly the response they needed after losing in Paris.

Elsewhere across Europe
Inter won 3–0 at Feyenoord, while LASK put four past Slovan Bratislava without conceding. Galatasaray beat Stuttgart 2–0, Sporting secured a 1–0 win against Shakhtar Donetsk, and Bodø/Glimt and Lille shared the points in a goalless draw.
My result of the night goes to PSG. Six goals away from home is hard to look past. United supplied the drama, Bayern earned an impressive away victory, and Barcelona reminded Villa how quickly a promising European evening can become a difficult one.
Which performance impressed you most—and which losing side has the most to fix?
