
Garlic Butter Prawns

Ingredients

500g large prawns (peeled and deveined, tails left on)

4 tbsp unsalted butter

2 tbsp olive oil

4 cloves garlic, finely minced

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste
Instructions

Prep the Prawns: Pat the prawns dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.

Sear: Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the prawns in a single layer and cook for 1 to 2 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove prawns from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Sauce: Lower heat to medium. Add the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes to the pan. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Combine: Stir in the fresh lemon juice, then return the prawns to the skillet. Toss to coat them thoroughly in the garlic butter.

Garnish & Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately alongside crusty bread or over rice.
