Here’s the Premier League roundup for Saturday, 29 August 2026, with four matches played in Gameweek 2.

""

Liverpool 2–2 Nottingham Forest: Liverpool had to come from behind twice at Anfield. Dan Ndoye opened the scoring for Forest, Alexander Isak equalised, Morgan Gibbs-White restored Forest’s lead from the penalty spot, and Victor Muñoz rescued Liverpool in the 82nd minute. Andoni Iraola is still waiting for his first Premier League victory as Liverpool manager.

Tottenham 0–2 Newcastle: A strong second half gave Matthias Jaissle his first league victory as Newcastle boss. Anthony Elanga struck in the 62nd minute and Yoane Wissa added the second ten minutes later. Spurs have now lost their opening two matches without scoring.

Coventry 0–1 Hull: Newly promoted Hull continued their remarkable start. Liam Millar’s 82nd-minute winner made it two victories from two, following their opening-weekend 2–0 win over Manchester United. Hull ended Saturday second in the table.

Bournemouth 1–1 Everton: Alex Scott put Bournemouth ahead in the 41st minute, but James Tarkowski equalised in the 91st minute to snatch a point for Everton.

Big Saturday takeaways: Hull are the early surprise package, Newcastle look rejuvenated under Jaissle, while Liverpool and Spurs have both made shaky starts under their new managers.

Saturday Afternoon I Knocked a Mariam Special from Akhals Bree. I will review this in time. But it gets my Simply Sublime Tag for Sure. Lets just say its a Toasted Steak Special with some Danya 🙂
