Grade 7 Prep learners Zara Sufla and Josie Dent have made their school and province proud with their outstanding performances at the South African Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships. Both girls represented KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) with excellence, showcasing not only their talent and skill but also their dedication, perseverance, and true sportsmanship.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For Zara, the experience was nothing short of extraordinary.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cIt was an unreal feeling. It was truly an honour to represent KZN,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Her success didn\u2019t come easily \u2014 it was the result of countless hours of commitment and training.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cI had to train three times a week and practice my dance non-stop. It took a lot of dedication and hard work,\u201d Zara explained.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Competing in a new environment with unfamiliar competitors presented its own challenges, but she rose to the occasion with determination and grace. She credits her family for being her biggest supporters.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cMy mom and my sister are always encouraging me and pushing me to do my best,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Balancing schoolwork and training often meant long nights and sacrifices, but Zara\u2019s positive outlook kept her going.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re stronger than you think. After every storm, there is beauty at the end,\u201d she reflected.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Her next goal?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cTo try to get a KZN medal,\u201d she said with a smile.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For Josie, the experience was equally rewarding and memorable.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cIt felt amazing to represent my province. I felt so proud,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Like Zara, Josie dedicated herself to her training \u2014 attending regular sessions three times a week and putting in extra hours at home. Competing at a national level brought its own pressures.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cIt was stressful because there were so many people, but I just tried to remain focused,\u201d she admitted.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Josie is grateful for her family\u2019s constant encouragement and support throughout her journey.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cMy family keeps encouraging me and always believes in me,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Her dedication often meant making tough choices and late nights.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes you have to say no to things and just keep pushing,\u201d she reflected.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Her biggest takeaway from the experience?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cNever give up. You\u2019re capable of more than you think,\u201d Josie shared.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As she looks ahead, Josie\u2019s goal is clear:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cTo finish Level 7 strong.\u201d<\/p>\n

Both Zara and Josie embody the values of perseverance, teamwork, and passion. Their achievements at the SA Rhythmic Championships are a testament to their hard work and determination \u2014 and they continue to inspire their peers with their commitment and spirit.<\/p>\n
